JobsVocate Tip
If you are a serving corps member or a former corps member (2023–2026) , the Presiding Officer/APO role is your best fit. Do not apply for SPO or RAC Manager unless you meet the grade level or head-of-school requirement. Also, ensure you apply using a valid email address and phone number – INEC will contact you via these for training and deployment. Finally, double-check that you are not a member of any political party and have not publicly supported any candidate. INEC verifies this, and false declarations can disqualify you.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
I am a student but not a penultimate student. Can I apply for PO/APO?
No. The requirement specifically says “penultimate student” – meaning you are in the second-to-last year of your programme (e.g., 300-level in a 4-year course or 400-level in a 5-year course). Final-year and first-year students are not eligible.
I am a former corps member from 2022. Can I apply?
No. The requirement says “not later than 2023” – only former corps members from 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026 are eligible.
Do I need to have a computer to apply?
You can apply using a smartphone with internet access. However, the application portal (INECPRES) works best on a laptop. If you do not have one, use a friend’s or visit a cybercafé.
What is the allowance for these roles?
The original post does not specify amounts. INEC ad-hoc staff typically receive daily allowances ranging from ₦10,000 to ₦30,000 depending on the role (SPO and RAC Manager usually earn more than PO/APO). Payment is usually made after the election.
Can I apply for more than one role?
Apply only for the role you are most qualified for. The system may reject duplicate applications.
